How much will 18" rims effect 1/4 mile time?

I wanted to know how much effect do 18 inch rims (~20 lbs) have on a 1/4 mile run...how many tenths of a second? Thanks!

if their lighter than the rims your currently running on, it wont make a huge difference, but an increase in the radius affects more than an increase in weight: moment of inertia = (Mass)*(Radius^2) so increasing the size affects acceleration more rapidly than an increase in mass. as far as times, might only turn out to be .1, .2 at the most

I just ran a 15.6 @ 85.6 mph out at the track on my 18's. I think they picked up better than my stocks did. That's all stock. With nothin' removed from the interior.

That's not bad at all...considering my friend with a 96 GLE and 18's ran a 16.7 lol

That's fairly significant. Do you see most of that early in the run?
