Dissapointed in times (97 auto w/intake)

I went to the track (Firebird) last night for the first time just to see what my car could do. I live in Phoenix where the weather is pretty warm. I ran 5 runs but only got the timeslip for my first which was my best because the timeslip machine stopped working. Here's my best run:

R/T: .364
60': 2.474
330: 6.908
1/8: 10.564
1000: 13.671
1/4: 16.344
MPH: 83.64

Now on my other runs I ran 2 16.4's and 2 16.6's. All runs I torque braked to 1500 rpms, kept it in drive. Not sure what PSI my tires were, trunk was completely cleaned out too. Anyway, I've been under the impression that stock autos should run low 16s yet I was running mid 16s with a best of 16.3 What might be the problem?

I've seen stock 4th gen's run 16.9
So a 16.3 with an intake is not too bad.

stock 1997 SE auto w/ interior and sub. My 60' time was a 2.393.

on the other hand, I also ran a 16.107 @ 83.93 , but my 60' on that one is 2.407

low 60's = good time - go to the track on a sticky day, and torque brake to 1800RPMS . . .. you should be able to cut down that time.
