waiting time before racing

its a 2 hour drive to the track, so once i get there and shut off the car, how long should i wait before racing?

also, how long should i wait between runs?

last time i went i didn't wait at all...just kept finish a race and doing another one within about 3 minutes and so on.

i was thinking of leaving it for about half an hour from once i got there, and then about 10 mins between runs...how does that sound?

im wondering not so much for performance, but just whatever is easier on the car (engine/tranny)

thanks

i drove 3 hrs to steele and ran my car 10 mins after getting there. I ran 14.8 my very first run. I ran mostly 14.7-8 all day with one or two 14.6s so I dont think it has any effect on your ET. Its prolly not great for your car but is racing it ever good for it???

heat usually hurts my et's and traps by .2-.3... depending on how warm it is outside. but the colder your engine is, the better your car will run. with your hood open, some ice on your manifold, and a nice breeze, 30 min of rest can make a good improvement. the only downside to letting your car cool is that your tires cool as well. i know my kuhmo's hook much better when warm.
