this is kinda geared towards 3rd gens, but im kinda curious as 2 what peeps w/ other gens think as well...heres the deal, my car will run almost a second slower just based on heat/humidity...my best time was a 15.6, which was a couple months ago where i also ran 2 15.8's and a 15.9...i went last week and my times (in order) were 16.5, 16.4, 16.2, and 16.1 ...the conditions from my good runs were say 60 degress while this time it was about 80 at the start and probably cooled to 65 or so before i left, but no doubt the humidity mustve been higher this time b/c fl is awfully humid when its not winter...
the question is...should the performance of the car vary that much just based on heat? it sux b/c summer isnt even here and i have 2 wait till the fall to get sum good times out of my car...
My speeds are altered pretty bad by high temps, anywhere from 5-7 tenths easily. Of course I'm in Arizona where winter track nights are in the 30-40 degree range and lately its been over 70 at the track.

I've never seen swings that dramatic due to the heat. I'm usually .3 seconds and 2mph slower on a humid 80+ degree day vs a dry 60 degree day.
Chew on this one. My first day out at the track with my MEVI/JWT ECU combo netted me a 14.451@99.51mph with a 2.31 60' (50 degrees outside). Two weeks later in 85 degree heat, I pulled another 14.451, but at 96.95mph with a 2.21 60'. The ET really didn't change because my traction was much better, but look at how much my MPH suffered in the heat.

Oh you'll feel the difference, especially in the midrange.
