Expect a lot more acceleration! Assuming you have traction and your shift points don't raise and your engine hits the revlimiter before shift. I'm afraid you will need re-programming for a converter to work with our transmissions.

If you are looking for maximum acceleration you will need a 3900 rpm stall converter. Our engines make max torque at 4400. Maximum acceleration is attained around 500 rpm blow max torque. Of course the looser converter you get the higher the rpm will go under part throttle acceleration. A good street converter would be around a 3000 stall. Don't get too loose a converter or you will be sorry later on.

Traction will be a major concern. You will need some real sticky tires or even slicks to hold traction. Particularly with our front wheel drive.

Good luck and let us know how you come out.
