1/8 mile- what time should i expect?

I have a 95 Auto with an intake. This guy in a 4.3 s10 wants me to go to the track so he can "destroy me". His dial in was like 11.97. Anyway, anything would be appreciated.
Kevin.

DO you have large wheels or a stereo in the trunk or any added weight? If so, take it out. With decent launches, you could run right around a 10.0 in the 1/8th.

It doesn't matter what you do, unless your car explodes you can't lose. 11.97 in the 1/8th works out to about 18.6 in the 1/4 mile. Worst case scenario you should run about a 10.5 in the 1/8th. You could run faster.

I ran the 1/8 - 10.050 and that was totally stock. You don't have to worry.

He made some excuses. His gears suck and he had his stereo in the truck, blah, blah blah... I smiled and nodded a lot. It was comical.
