My first time at the track...

RT- 1.07
60'-2.43
1/8- 10.43
1/4- 16.06
mph- 87.35

It was about 85 out, and was really humid out.

I cant figure out mt 330' or 1/8 mph...they're just not there. This was my best run of the night. A couple thing I'm wondering about:

1) I had my best 60' by not torque braking. When I did TB, my 60' was 2.56. What does that mean? My tire pressure was around 30 psi for all tires. I was gonna lower it, but I got lazy....I didn't really spin too much off the launch. Why did I do better w/out TBing?
2) Before this (my 3rd and final) run, I turned on the heat to get the heat out of the engine. I heard it worked somewhere on here, and it seemed to. It lowered my time .2 sec and my mph went up 2 mph. What gives? I think the temp was going down due to an approaching storm, but it didn't go down THAT much....
3) I heard that for every 100 lbs. extra in your car, your time increases about .1 sec. How much do you think 2 subs, box, and amp weigh?
4) Also, since it was so hot and humid out, how much did that affect my time? Everybody else seemed to be running much slower than usual.

Also, near the end of my run when it shifted into 3rd gear, it just sorta sat there around 4000-4500 rpm and didn't really accelerate much. Is this normal? I know there wasn't too much time for it to accelerate in 3rd, but it's weird it didn't really keep going. "Sexima" said the same thing sorta happened to him too.

Please help me. I'm going back again soon because I got some free rain delay things to get in for $1. I need some more tips.

15s here I come!!!!

All mods are in sig.

This site is very accurate for weather correction: http://xs-fx.com/da/ws.htm

I have had some of my best launches with my Camaro by leaving at idle. You can lose traction easier on radials however. It's a little more of a shock to the tires. If you are holding traction the leaving at idle will get you a little better 60'. For ET racing you will get more consistent times torque braking.

Sounds like it's time for a few mods. That's the direction I'm headed.

thanks for the link. but how do i figure out the baromatric pressure and humidity. none of it is on the slip. is there a good site to go to for that info? thanks again. oh yea, when i set my ideal conditions, the next page doesnt work. any way to fix that?

You would have to go to one of the weather sites to get your barometer, humidity and temperature for the date and time you made your run. Try: http://www.wunderground.com/

You set your times and actual weather conditions for a given run. Then go to the next page and change the weather conditions to see what you would have ran had those set of conditions occured during your run. Let me know if it doesn't work for you.
