How do I get out of the 16s?

I went to the track last night for the 3rd time and ran consisten 16.2s at 85mph with 2.5 60 foot times. Maybe I am mistaken but it seems like I should be able to hit the 15s. I have a 95 automatic with stillen intake, stillen y pipe, warpspeed test pipe, powertech muffler, eiback pro kit springs, tokico shocks. Traction isn't an issue, I barely scratch them on takeoff. I hold down the brake and throttle up to 2000 rpm and manually shift. This is giving me the best times, I've tried several different approaches to test it. I think it needs a tune up, which hopefully I will be able to afford to do within the next couple of weeks and then I'll try again. Any tips/advice/opinions would be much appriciated. Oh by the way, the weather conditions I know are not that great. Temp is around 85-90 with 40-50% humidity and night time.

Lose some of the weight, if you haven't already. The stereo equipment and spare tire alone would take up to 100lbs. off the car.

I would guess you are running too high of a tire pressure on the front and the fact that you have 17s can't help.

Maybe next time I will take out the spare and stereo, but I don't see how that little amount of weight is going to improve my times all that much, what maybe a 10th? As for tire pressure, thats 25 psi up front, 30 psi rear. I had 30 up front and then I lowered it and didn't see any difference at all. I've tried everything I can think of except stripping the car down to bare essentialls, but I shouldn't have to do that to see a 15 second time slip, I think my motors got issues, just not detectable ones, cause it seems to run fine.

I think you might be surprised by the difference a little bit of weight can make. Besides, if you are runnning 16.2, you don't need to shave much more time to hit 15's. Think about it - when you have three friends in the back seat, the entire car is noticably slower. While they might weigh 500 lbs and not 100 lbs., it is still apparent how weight can easily affect accleration. I bet you can get into the 15's by taking out everything that can be removed, and running on 1/4 tank of fuel.
